Hearing Augmentation

In new buildings or major refurbishments, Hearing Augmentation is to be installed in all AV enabled spaces, in line with the NCC 2022 D4D8.

In retrofits, all classrooms must have hearing augmentation.

At a minimum, Williams Sound Infrared is to be used (one-off legacy builds)

New builds are to use Auracast

Statuatory Signage

Signage is required in accordance with NCC 2022 D4D7 on all new buildings and major refurbishments.

Signage is to be located on the interior of the room, beside the door on the latch side, between 50 and 300mm from the architrave or on the door itself with the tactile components between 1200 and 1600mm AFFL (Refer NCC2022 S15C2)

AV and PF&D Interiors have arranged a contract for signage of retrofit rooms.

New constructions are to be managed as part of the overarching wayfinding strategy.
