Airmedia Configuration

At first-boot the password needs to be set to the default AV username and password. Firmware should be upgraded to the current production firmware - All Airmedia devices in the project are to run the same version.

XIO

Curtin University no longer requires devices to be imported into XIO Cloud.

Configuration

This guide is not an exhaustive list, but covers key aspects.

  • Set the "Application Mode" to AirMedia Experience

  • Set the following "System Setup" items:

    • Room Name: XXX-YYY where X is building number (no B) and Y is the room number
    • System Mode: Custom
    • Hostname - as per grid manager
    • DHCP Enabled to On.
    • NTP Time Server: 134.7.134.17 Port 123.
  • Set the following "Audio-Video" items

    • HDCP Mode: Never Authenticate
  • Set the following "Connected Devices" items

    • OSD Font Size: Small
    • Show Clock/Calendar: On
    • Show Background Overlay: On
    • Display Theme: Dark
    • Enable Custom Logo Graphics: On (DTS Projects will provide graphic files)
    • Enable Custom Backgrounds: On (DTS Projects will provide graphic files)
    • Interval Between Backgrounds: 30s
    • Display Help Information: On
    • Help Information Text: For AV Support please phone 9266 9000
  • Set the following "AirMedia" items

    • AirMedia: On
    • AirMedia Discovery: On
    • Bluetooth Discovery: On
    • Network Adapter: Disiable WLAN
    • Show Login Code: On, Mode: Random
    • Show AirMedia Connection Info Overlay: On
    • Show Applie Screen Mirroring Info: On
    • Show Miracast Info: On
    • Show Connect Adapter Info: On
    • Show Connection info: On, Connection URL Mode: IP Address
    • Application Download (all): Cloud
    • Miracast: On, Default Experience, AirMedia Windows Sender
